A long day but the trip covered the major tourist spots -monkey forest temple waterfall view of volcano.
We also visited wood carving, painting, batik and jewellery making stores. Whilst there was a short demonstration a sales person became firmly attached at each of these businesses. The prices were ridiculous when compared to those in shops in Nusa Dua and you could feel bad leaving without purchase.
All entrance fees were included and a buffet lunch provided, but this was the worst part of the tour and Bali Tour should take up the comments:
Hot food was cold and was of poor quality
Hygiene concern – eg cutlery being washed in bucket of water in the corner
Worst of all unusable toilets – no seats and floor swimming with water.
It is a pity to spoil an excellent trip by using poor restaurants.

The guide/driver was knowledgeable and very pleasant- his car was clean and comfortable.
The worst feature was lunch – cold plates and cold food that should have been warm. Unusable toilets – no seats and floor swimming with water. Hygiene poor eg cutlery being washed in a bucket of water in the corner. Attempted to over charge for drinks. 50 plus 20 tax was said to be 70 instead of 61.5
The tour company should act on lunch venue comment.

Hi, I’m a New Zealand short story writer and novelis . We recently joined this tour with some South African Indian friends- people we had come to know from two previous European tours. This Bali full-day trip is well worth the money. It included a generous buffet lunch while taking in a priceless view of the volcano. The tour covers most of the main sights of Bali and includes at least one market. Our guide was friendly, spoke good English and was most accommodating and came to our rescue several days later when we realised that I had lost my camera. He found it at the Bali Collect office and only several hours after our reporting the loss to Bali Ventur, to our delight, the tour guide turned up at our hotel with the camera.

This was a pretty big day but it’s great to see all the different products and elements of Bali. We had our small group of 3 and our guide Ogus. He let us spend as long or little at the different destinations, but ensured we did them all. He also stopped so we could see some of the stone carvings done by hand not on the itinerary but on the way to the next location. Ogus was a great photo taker – he knew the best spots and would happily take pics for us. He also did his best to answer any questions we had. I’d advise to take money for the different donations/fees. At the rice terraces there are a number of donation huts. Pretty much if you don’t donate some money they don’t let you walk through. Because a number of families own different sections they all want this fee. It looked like there were about four of these donation huts. We got to the second one and turned around. Also wear good shoes, it’s hot and you’ll be doing some walking or you could stay at the top and take some pictures. You will also need some money to use the toilet at the temple. I’d advise wearing good shoes for the waterfall viewing, as you will walk down/up some stairs. Everything was lovely to see, with a highlight being the lunch at Kintamini overlooking the volcano. Enjoyed the monkey forest and checking out the holy Spring. When visiting the batik weaving/prints, wood-working factory and silver making factory take some money. Lots of items for sale and some are very expensive. Overall if you want to see a little bit of a lot of things – this is the tour for you. We had a great day.

We were only in Bali for 4 days, but this private tour made sure we got a great overview of Balinese culture. Our tour guide Agung was amazing very knowledgeable and allowed us to tailor our day towards our interests. Our guide provided context to the ancient temples we saw by teaching us about the Hindu folklore that is widely celebrated on the island. This was the perfect day and really sets an example for what a guided tour should deliver. Our short stay has left us wanting more of Bali and we will be calling this tour provider as soon as we come back.
