My driver Mr. Bagus was very kind, well-informed, well-organized person. He arranged the visit of each place with less busy time so that I could enjoy the nature or temples without too much crowds.
We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring Ubud! Our driver was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable—he took great care to tailor the day to our preferences, which made the whole experience feel smooth and personal.
We started the morning at a local art market, wandering through stalls filled with handmade crafts, textiles, and beautiful artwork—it was a lovely way to soak up the local culture. From there, we visited a traditional Balinese temple. Our guide shared insights into the spiritual customs and symbolism, which really deepened our understanding of the culture.
Next was a stop at a coffee plantation where we learned about the process of making local coffee and teas, including the famous Luwak coffee. The tastings were a highlight—so many interesting flavours to try!
We then enjoyed a delicious lunch with a stunning view over the rice paddies. It was the perfect spot to relax and take in the scenery before heading off to the famous Bali swing. It was such a fun experience and the views over the jungle were absolutely breathtaking.
We ended the day with a visit to a beautiful waterfall—cool, lush, and the perfect refreshing finish to a day full of culture, nature, and great company. Highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore the heart of Ubud with a local touch!
We took this tour on January 1st, the morning after New Year’s Eve, and overall it was a very enjoyable day — largely thanks to our guide.
Damar was knowledgeable, professional, well-prepared, and very good at reading the group’s energy and pace. Since it was an early start after a late night, we appreciated how accommodating he was — even letting us nap on the drive to the first stop. That kind of attentiveness really set a positive tone for the day.
Ulun Danu Beratan Temple was magical. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and we were lucky enough to witness a local ceremony during our visit, which made the experience feel especially meaningful. Jatiluwih rice terraces were also fantastic — truly stunning and well worth the visit.
That said, I do want to call out a few itinerary issues that felt misleading. The tour is advertised as having seven stops, but in reality there are five distinct locations.
Buyan Lake and Tamblingan Lake are listed as two separate stops with admission included and 30 minutes allocated for each. In reality, this is a single “Twin Lakes” viewpoint where you see both lakes from the same terrace, and no admission is required. While the view is beautiful — and the banana fritters served there were genuinely the best we had in Bali — it should really be listed as one stop with two lakes, not two separate attractions.
Similarly, Pura Batu Bolong and Tanah Lot Temple are listed as two separate stops (30 minutes and 60 minutes), but they are part of the same location. You cannot access either temple; both are viewed from the outside only. Again, it would be much clearer and more accurate to list this as one stop featuring two temples.
None of this took away from the enjoyment of the day, but the itinerary presentation could be more transparent to better set expectations. Overall, the guide did a good job and made the experience relaxed and enjoyable — I just wish the tour description more accurately reflected how the day actually flows.

Highly recommended! We came on a cruise ship and the port taxis wanted to charge us 5 times more for the same trip! In addition, Al, our guide, knew how to speak English very well and accompanied us and explained at all times. If you’re coming to Bali this is the best option for sure, you’ll thank me later.
