The full-day tour of Ubud offers a great way to see the highlights, accompanied by a local guide who can provide insight into local life. By starting the tour early, 7 am in my case, I was able to get to many of Ubud’s most interesting places before the crowds and tour buses arrived. My guide, Hendra, was excellent and planned our route to miss the traffic and maximise time at the best of Ubud’s sights. He is also a great photographer and insisted on capturing magical moments that would otherwise have been lost. It is hard to pick one highlight of the day; however, visiting the Monkey Forest certainly stands out. This tour is best for people who want someone else to create a day itinerary that takes them to the spots Ubud is famous for, with the opportunity to speak with a local about both the history of Bali and its modern-day culture.
Naya was a good tour guide who showed us around but i hope the pickup time could be slightly later as there was still time to kill until the end of the tour.
