Water temperatures range from lukewarm to slightly hotter, although there is no hot-water pool, and most are generally warmer in the morning. Although some hot springs have the word “natural” in their names, don’t expect a natural environment, because everything here consists of tile pools.

The trail was moderate to difficult, climb for 2 hours from our starting point near by Lake Batur Toya to the summit. Our Guide Adi superb awesome guy,helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.Adi helped us every step of the way up and down, with out him I can’t made it. Light breakfast and a cup of hot coffee was great, yummy bananas sandwich and hard boiled egg in hot seteam must try. Highly recommended!!

The sunrise from the top was wroth the effort, truly stunning, yummy volcanic breakfast and excellent guide! The views are amazing and worth the almost 2 hours of walk.

My sister and I did the sunrise trekking while staying in Kuta. They arranged pickup from our hotel at 1:30am. The drive was about 2 hours to Mount Batur. Upon arrival we were given banana pancakes and coffee or tea. We then were given a flashlight and started our hike with our guide. The guides are from the area and very knowledgable of the volcano and surrounding area so make sure to ask questions. The hike was a little difficult, but we took breaks along the way. Seeing the stunning sunrise at the top was totally worth it though. I definitely recommend going the extra 30 minutes to the higher part of the volcano! We were also given breakfast at the top to eat while we watched the sunrise. On the way down you are brought to an area with a ton of monkeys that will come right up to you if you have food. Such a cool experience! Definitely recommend this experience to anyone, just make sure you are in somewhat of good shape.

It actually does get quite chilly once you reach the base of the mountain the pitch black morning light. Great fun with some athletic friends. Would recommend have some study shoes with a good grip. Our travel group provided flashlights, food, and drinks so we didn’t need to bring much of our own. It was worth going and is a great alternative for Mt. Agung, which may be hard for even professionals such as the trekking guides. Coming down the mountain is quite scary and painful, I got a few big scratches and scars; just be careful and slow and it won’t be too bad.
Honestly This view was worth waking up at 2am to get picked up and driven to this amazing breathtaking sight it is a trek up various rocks and dirt and sand and forrest you don’t have to be the fittest as long as you take your time and pace but also call to confirm you can do it if you have maybe too much doubt.
If you’re staying in Ubud don’t miss the Mt. Babur Sunrise tour! Yes, you have to wake up at 2:30am, and yes, the 2 hour hike in the dark is a little tough (although doable as long as you are reasonably fit). The view from the top is completely worth it! And the scenery hiking around the rim is gorgeous. Keep in mind that it’s cold at the top though! Bring a warm jacket and something to break the wind! Also make sure you wear decent shoes. Some girls in our group wore sandals and they struggled quite a bit. Our tour also stopped at a coffee plantation on the way back which was quite nice. Overall a great time!
