What a hike! Waking up at 2 AM was totally worth it. Baliventur’s team made everything seamless—pick-up was on time, the guide was experienced, and the view from the top of Mount Batur was breathtaking. I was nervous about doing the trek, but Baliventur made it easy. Our driver was punctual, the guide was supportive, and we got to the top just in time to see the sky explode in color. They also provided a light breakfast and even boiled eggs using the volcanic steam! It was a magical, bucket-list moment I’ll never forget.
If you’re in Bali and not doing the ATV Kuber tour, you’re seriously missing out. I booked mine through Baliventur, and from start to finish, it was smooth, organized, and ridiculously fun.
They picked me up right from my hotel in Ubud (on time, which is already impressive), and within an hour, I was geared up and sitting on a powerful ATV surrounded by rice fields and jungle trails. After a short safety briefing, we hit the track—and wow. Mud flying everywhere, steep hills, deep jungle paths, a river crossing, and even a dark tunnel behind a waterfall. Not kidding. It felt like I was in a Tomb Raider video game—except I was yelling and laughing the whole way.
The guides were legends—funny, helpful, and totally cool about first-timers like me who might’ve accidentally bumped a rock or two (or ten). They even took photos and videos of us in action, which I now proudly show to anyone who’ll listen.
Big tip: bring extra clothes. You will get wet, muddy, and completely unrecognizable by the end—but in the best way. Also, don’t worry about being super fit; the ride is beginner-friendly but still thrilling.
