Water temperatures range from lukewarm to slightly hotter, although there is no hot-water pool, and most are generally warmer in the morning. Although some hot springs have the word “natural” in their names, don’t expect a natural environment, because everything here consists of tile pools.

- 01 – 02.00 am. Hotel pickup directly to the starting point (depending on your hotel location)

This was a highlight of the trip kind of experience | the service was impeccable, Wira being a wonderful driver and very accommodating. Ayu was our hike guide & she was incredibly valuable, helping us walk safely, taking so many photos and videos for us as a forever keepsake. The hike itself was all uphill, so challenging but manageable ~ you can go at your pace, but take grippy shoes. The views were breathtaking; sun, mountains, steam from the earth & even monkeys. Can’t recommend this enough! 😁

Got us to the best photo opportunities at the right time. We did the extra walk down circumnavigation the crater rim. Yes it took way longer but we got to experience so much more. Our trip with Iwan was breath-taking! A wonderful experience. Beautiful nature. Great hike, not too difficult, not too easy either. We decided to skip the sunset and leave at 5am instead of 3am which was still beautiful with fewer other tourists around. Iwan even took an extra tour with us all the way around the crater. It’s an amazing experience with steam coming out of holes, monkeys, the beautiful surrounding landscape, the main crater, a second little crater, old dark lava from the last eruption, the calderas, the lake, the view on mount Agung and Lombok,…. Also, the breakfast just before the top of the volcano was a lovely experience. Our guide Iwan was very kind and knowledgeable and explained anything we wanted to know about the nature, traditions, and the holy mount Batur. Highly recommended tour!
