It’s really tiring and strenuous to go up the mountain if you’re unfit. But so worth it once you’re up there. Big thank you to our guide Gede who guided us up the mountain with so much patience. What I really like is that they only use the locals around to guide tourists up the mountains and so it’s the locals who make money. That’s awesome.
Despite wake up early morning to part of such a Sunrise trek to the an active volcano but it was worth doing it. Since starting point till the end was memorable experiences. Need a bit exercise to fetch it.
Cca 2 hodinový výšlap na vršek místní aktivní sopky. Východ slunce záleží na počasí. Nepotřebujete žádnou extra výbavu, pevnější boty ale doporučuji hlavně při sestupu.
Projděte si stezku okolo vrcholu a pokud jste kuřáci, doporučuji vydechnout kouř do místy unikajících teplých výdechů sopky.
I and my wife had a great time doing this sunrise trek recently. The hike is quite doable if you have a normal fitness but it not a problem once you reach the top. Don’t wear jeans if you want to dress a long trousers, it will be a problem because of heavy. Just shorts are fine. A shirt and a warm sweater needed and wear proper shoes. Just try it, if you gave good weather, amazing landscape and awesome sunrise amazed your eyes. it’s definitely worth the time and effort.

This Mountain really nice and beautiful, you can make easy walking to the summit with local guide for see sunrise and also see how beautiful this area from the top of the mountain, worth wake up 1:30 am.
The hike was harder than what I though, our guide lead up step by step to the summit. We completed the hike almost 2 hours with plenty of breaks. The sky color change of the sunrise. Views truly incredible, worth wake at early morning.
Start hike at 4 am through forest and loss lava, reached the top at 6 am. The guide take us to the place where we can enjoying sunrise. While enjoying Sunrise from the top of an active volcano the local guide will prepare your breakfast which cooked by the volcano steams, tea and yummy banana sandwich.
We began the climb at about 4am, and there was 7 people in our tour.
The 3 guides stuck with the group for the beginning and then split up as each family in the group went at different paces. The guides were absolutely fantastic, they made the entire experience so interesting and informative.
There was definitely struggles through the climb, however we were provided with breaks in between each steep climb.
We made it about 3/4 up the mountain before the sunrise begun, so we watched it from there. The guides ensured that there was not much difference in the view from where we were and the top.
The breakfast was an experience, boiled eggs and steamed bananas using the heat from the volcano!
The climb back down was very easy, however I would suggest applying mosquito repellent as they all come out once the sun is up.
To relax we went to the hot springs afterwards, which was very relaxing and were able to get a foot massage to recover from the hike.
My muscles were sore the next day but nothing that caused permanent damage.
I’d like to leave earlier next time so we can make it to the summit in time for the sunset.
When we woke up at 1.30am we were wondering what we had gotten. The sunrise was stunning and the views from the summit were almost as stand above the sky, cloudy stay bellow of our foot. It was also good fun seeing and feeling the steam coming out of various craters, surely well worth doing.
